Not sure of the correct name of the motor but there are two located on each side of the center console. The drivers side is in behind the cover panel near the gas pedal, has an electrical connector and a flat plastic "rod" that goes up underneath the dash area. You can pop off the plastic rod at the motor and activate the rod up and down. With the heater on, move the rod up and down. This opens and closes a vent door. See if this is your problem.
I used a potato chip bag "clip" to secure the rod to the cover panel until i can find the motor online or at a "pull-a-part".
Hope this helps, Mick
more like CRAPtera.. srsly... dont buy one
unless you are mechanically inclined, you dont want to mess with it. It is under the front, passenger side of motor....alot of disassembling!!!
My 1997 Cadillac Catera does the samething! Normally can be done by the Coolant leaking ,Coolant needing to be flushed, a PCV Valve, Coolant Temperature Sensor, Themostat Sticking, oil cooler, and the list goes on. . You should most likely have a "Experienced" Mechanic look at the vehicle to do a pressure test to make sure you dont have any leaks and to see what is actually wrong.
Dont know what the problem is but i can tell you its a vacuum leak . the vents are vacuum operated and require air pressure to change between the vents and floor. the defroster is default setting you may have a vacuum line that has come undone but all i know is its somewhere under the dash.
welll sorry dont have a answer but just know you cant jack it open. the hood will bend before the latch pops open...unless you can buy a new hood good uck
Check fluid level in the resovior tank. If fluid level is OK, check the level switch. The level switch controls the dash light. If fluid id OK, and you dont want to replace the switch...unplug it.
you dont either replace assembly or if covers are fogged have them buffed
2003 crown vic air conditioning vent dont blow
my gas hand is not working in my 1999 cadillac escalade
Ignition switch change for 2001 cadillac catera?i've had to replace the steering wheel column, the whole thing is in one piece but your best safest bet is add one to an out of the column b/c to many parts in the column itself. Then wire it to the white plastic box above the column, but dont worry abot the rod that connects to it, before you sart familarize your self with the caponents.
well i dont know
i dont know how to
