Are the back doors equipped with child lockouts? Look at the back edge of the door, near where the door latch is located. There may be a small slot with a plastic post sticking out and something (decal, stamping) indicating which side is locked and which is unlocked. If the door doesn't have a lockout, then your inside release handle is probably broken or has become disconnected.
If your able to open door from outside. the child safety locks maybe on. If not on then door panel needs to come off to disengage from the inside.

There should be a child safety switch near the latch. Move it in the direction the label says.
Try checking for a child lock. If it's on, it'll keep the door from being able to be opened from the inside. Happens in our car all the time.

If the door opens from the outside it may be the child safety latch. Open the door and there will be a lever on the rear of the door move this to the off position.
There is a child safety device in the area of the door where the latch is located. It can be turned to keep kids from opening the doors from the inside.
The black door handle inside is probably broken. Mine was and I replaced it with parts from ebay. Only about $12.00
