If what you term as a "magnetic switch" is an electrical contactor, then the answer is yes.
A couple things to keep in mind. I presume the 125 volts mentioned is the coil voltage of the contactor.
The switched voltages and amperage or horsepower allowed by the contactor is on the contactor's nameplate. This is the maximum voltage that can be applied to the contactor which includes 12 volts.
The amperage of the 12 volt device is not mentioned and this should not exceed the maximum allowed current of the lowest voltage rating of the contactor. This is especially true if the 12 volts is Direct Current. An example of this could be a starter on a car. When the starter starts to crank it could be in the neighbourhood of 300 amps DC. As you can see this would fry the contacts of a normal AC rated contactor.
No, it cannot.
s switch stores the system file on a disk after formatting. v switch allows to enter a volume label once when formatting several disks.
A magnetometer is used to measure magnetic force in magnetic fields.
Reed switches work on a basic principle whereby the reed switch is a hermetically sealed glass tube containing two ferromagnetic reeds that will actuate when in the presence of a magnetic field. The magnetic field may be generated from a ferrous metal such as iron, a permanent magnet such as rare earth types and/or an electromagnetic coil as used in a reed relay.Reed switches have various electrical properties such as their sensitivity range which is generally specified in ampere turns (AT). The AT or sensitivity of the reed switch refers to the open and close points of the switch. When a reed switch is used in conjunction with a permanent magnet, it referred to as a reed sensor. Typically the reed switch is mounted to a fixed object and the magnet to the moving object. The strength of the magnetic field as well as the position and movement of the magnet relative to the switch will determine how many open and closure points will take place.Example: Parallel movement of the magnet to the switch can produce either one or three switch closures depending on its distance from the switch.
It is used to switch equipment on and also it can be used to switch it off at a later time.
The voltage rating of a fuse (in this case 125V or 230V) defines the maximum circuit voltage that the fuse is safe to be used on. A fuse with a voltage rating of 125V should not be used in a circuit with a voltage greater than 125V. If a 125V fuse were installed in a 230V circuit and an overload current occurred, the fuse could explode.
No, it cannot.

It is the magnetic elements in a magnetic disk that are used to store information.
I'm not sure what you mean by "kill switch" But there should be a red push button on the bottom left of your dashboard. The switch can be used to reset your alarm system
The "-s" switch in the format command is used to format the disk so that it is a "system" disk. In other words, it makes it a "bootable" disk.
limit switch on hvac used to cut off low voltage on heating when system over heat limit
Both measure the same thing: magnetic flux density (magnetic field). The gauss is a unit of the older cgs system; the tesla is part of the currently-used SI system. 1 tesla = 10,000 gauss.
