Well it depends how much you have worked out before I started with 7 pounders when i was 10.....Once I hit 14 I was lifting around 15-20 pounds.. Hope that answered your Question.

That's nothing im 13 and i have to pick up from 0 to 1/2 pounds and moving on to 3/4 pounds i don't think i can do it though but i pick up 2/3 pounds and did 1/4 squats and 1/8 benches.

I'm 11 and I'm benchpressing 28lb.

Yes, 14 year olds can lift weights. However, anyone entering a weight training program should do it under the supervision of someone familiar with weight lifting. A number of people have been killed using a weight bench.

Depends on how strong they are or how much they are capable of lifting. Some even lift weights in the gym, but it depends.
