Of course not you cannot install 15 inch tires on 14 inch wheels or vice versa. 14 inch wheels require 14 inch tires, and 15 inch wheels require 15 inch tires.
No, only use 17 inch tires on 17 inch wheels.
14 inch wheels fir 14 inch tires, 15 inch wheels fit 15 inch tires. The difference is 1 inch.
No. Only 18 inch tires fit an 18 inch rim.
You would have 16 inch wheels and tires.
no
It comes with 32 inch tires you can go to 33 inch tires but you must use aftermarket wheels or they will rub on the strut arms. Set back on wheels 4.5 inches.
Yes there was a factory option for 17 inch wheels
If the tire is built for a 17 inch wheel, yes.
Not without changing the wheels also. If you also change the wheels to 17 inch wheels then that is an acceptable swap.
It depends on what wheels your cougar came with. If you have the 15 inch, six spoke fan blade wheels, you need 205/60 tires, if you have the 16 inch, sport package wheels, you need the harder to find, 215/50 tires. 17 inch wheels were not available in '99 to the best of my knowledge. If you have trouble finding the 215/50/16 tires, both the more common 225/50 tires, and the 215/55 tires can be used without much problem.
a smart car has 12 inch tires in the front and 12and 3 qutar inch in the back
