Americans can live in Canada if they apply for permanent residence. They do not, however, need to "give up" their citizenship and may apply for a Dual Citizenship. They will have both a Canadian and their American citizenships.
they guranteed citizenship by giving the slaves the right to eat fried chicken
Fulfilling the requirements for U.S. citizenship does NOT cancel your Canadian citizenship. Canadian citizenship is permanent, and (unless obtained by fraud) cannot be revoked by the Canadian Government for ANY reason unless you renounce it yourself. Also, the U.S. does not require Canadians to renounce their citizenship when becoming U.S. Citizens.
The Indian Citizenship Act Americanized Native Americans giving them full citizenship. The 14th Amendment to Constitution actually gave them that right, but it took legislation from Congress to bring it to fruition.
The act of giving full citizenship to a person in a foreign country is known as naturalization.

Americans is not
Native Americans were not originally considered citizens of this country. The Indian Citizenship Act of 1924 declared all non-citizen Indians born within the United States to be citizens, giving them the right to vote. yet even after the Indian Citizenship Act, some native Americans weren't allowed to vote because the right to vote was governed by state law. Until 1948 some states still barred natives from voting.

The 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments are called the Reconstruction Amendments because they gave citizenship rights and protections to African-Americans and were part of the project of Reconstruction (which was from 1865-1877).
