I've done research on this myself and have found that a lot of people suffer from nightmares or night terrors while taking this med. I was on 100mg of amitriptylin and 20mg of celexa and had these very vivid horrifying nightmares...I recently stopped taking both medications as I simply can't sleep yet I'm still suffering from them. I've read some people request a prescription for ambion to take along with antidepressants to help with the dreams, I am considering doing this myself.
Another thing you could try (always ask your doctor first) is a supplement of Melatonin, you can find it at just about any store that sells vitamins, they'll be in with them. That's what my doctor suggested to me...however, in my case it made it so I could sleep through the night but was still plagued with nightmares that I now can't wake up from where as before taking the melatonin I could if it became too terrifying. I should also note that melatonin will not knock you out, I don't want that impression coming off from my saying that I'm unable to wake myself up from dreams. I might not be able to do that but if I hear a peep from my baby monitor I'm still able to wake up and tend to my children. Long answer I know, but I hope it helps.
Wellbutrin and celexa are two different drugs. Celexa is a good drug for anxiety and welbutrin is better to counter the effects of high anxiety drugs which can make you almost comatose. Wellbbutrin can cause people with anxiety nightmares so be careful with that one.
No, cheese consumption does not directly cause nightmares.
No, sugar has no intrinsic relationship with nightmares. Nightmares are results of over imagination caused by say witnessing a late night horror film. Intake of sugar has little to cause nightmares.

If you just started celexa and busapar and your elbow joint is sore, then that is definitely the cause.
No, there is no particular food that causes nightmares. But different individuals are sensitive to certain foods that might cause indigestion or abdominal pain which can disturb sleep. Disturbed sleep, in turn, can cause nightmares. So it is not the food itself that is responsible for the nightmares, but the indigestion and discomfort that disrupts sleep.
