There are many recorded cases where non-human entities have been able to exert control over a human (known as "possession" that wasn't aware or psychologically prepared for the entity's attack. Though normal medicine an science tends to blow off such things and attribute it to normal psychological problems, many who have encountered such entities and witnessed such occurrences have a different view. Those in the paranormal field are trained in techniques and psychological/mental focus in order to maintain barriers in places where a non-human entity might be present, or a place has been specifically using dark spells/techniques that are Satanic in nature.

Non-human entities are not to be taken lightly. For the person who isn't prepare or has little or no faith, they can be a vulnerable target if they come into contact with such an entity. Fortunately though, most entities are of human origin, meaning they were people; but it's important to also remember that not all former living people were good either.
