Yes, a member can add anyone, age 18 or older, as a joint owner to his/her account.

As long as the joint individual is eligible for a checking account through the credit union or bank.

This person has total access to do transactions on only the specific account they are joint on.

How do you add another user to your credit card?

In most cases it's as simple as calling your card issuer, providing proper identification, and asking them to add the person to your account. Fair warning, though: you'll be just as responsible for what goes on with the other user's usage of your credit card account as you are with your own usage.

What items do you need to add and what items do you need to subtract when reconciling a checking account bank statement?

You need to include and add up any unposted deposits. If the account is interest-bearing, you add the interest to the net balance. You then subtract all paid checks, fees/fines, check charges, check purchases (to obtain checks), etc. Lastly, any unposted checks need to be subtracted to reconcile with your personal check ledger.

An increase in accounts receivable is subtracted or added to what?

This depends on what caused the increase. Accounts receivable is the account used when a person or company owes YOU money. How do you add a person to your checking account?

yes, but they can also wipe you out by writing a check on your account or going to the bank and withdrawing your money, so be sure you absolutely trust the person. you can have it set up where you both have to sign the checks, but that kinda defeats the purpose.

Can wife add her name to his checking account without his approval legally?

No she can't as a matter of fact without his written permission she can't even get general information about that account. This is what I found to be amazing, if this couple has a joint savings account, but the husband's name is the only one on the checking account, he is the only one that can legally transfer money from the savings account to the checking account. It also works this way if there is a joint checking account and money needs to be transferred from the joint checking account, to the savings account with only the husband's name on it, he is the only one that can move money from one account to the other. I am a bank manager and I know this is more information than you asked for, but when I have to explain this to couples, it often leads to a very heated discussion between them in my office. I live in Virginia and I can only answer for Virginia. I hope you found this answer helpful.
