Yes you CAN, but if you become more sick or become injured because an employer FORCED you to work while you have been 'signed off', then your employer is liable BIG TIME. If you signed a legal waiver and chose to work while being 'signed off' then the consequences would be your problem.
If you signed a contract and purchased the vehicle, it belongs to you and there's nothing you can do to get out of the contract. If the car dealership wants to work with you, that's up to them but you're legally bound. No. You have signed the papers so you couldn't even return in 5 minutes after you drive off the lot.
That would be up to the individual dealer. but when you sign a contract you own that vehicle. and it also depends on what paper you signed.
Working when you are signed off sounds like volunteerism. In the field of medicine it may be risky because of the lack of insurance coverage unless it is in a "good Samaritan" scenario. Also, if you are forced to work while signed off it would be a legal employment issue.

Can you leave work early to vote and still get paid?

depends on the state your in and if they sold it on their lot or off premises. Mostly if you signed the contract you own that vehicle so i would definitely talk to the dealer and see if you can work out anything. Only some dealers give you that choice but it is a company policy not the law
