A 9V alkaline battery will have six 1.5 V cells. These are like short AAAA cells. If you can find a tube the right size, put 3 cells end to end to get two 4.5V batteries. There are some single LED penlights now that use AAAA cells. Perhaps adjust the length (copper spacer), and a 9V is easier to find than an AAAA.

There is a link to a site below where you can get penlights.

A 9 V carbon-zinc usually has six rectangular Sandwiches held together with a shrink wrap tube that also maintains contact pressure.

A 9 V round battery has 6 round sandwich cells.

I don't think I've seen these in alkaline. These are about 2x the capacity of the rectangular, or about 1 Ah.

An easier way would be to wire the two LEDs in series. As you wire more devices in series, the drain on the battery is the same, but the voltage is split between the devices.

----- a caution ---

different color LEDs have different forward voltage drops

IR perhaps 1.5 V

visible ~2V-3V

UV perhaps 4.5V

this voltage is quantum physics and the PN junction

white LEDs are florescent lamps ( UV LEDs exciting RGB phosphors )

the cheapie 9 LED flashlight usually parallels the 4.4V UV LEDs

with 3 AAA cells in series and no dropping resistor.

I wonder if it's possible to insert internal wiring into the battery to turn it into a pair of 4.5V batteries in parallel? TBH I'd rather investigate using 3 AAAA (or other size) cells in an appropriate holder from the start than try dismantling batteries. I think it would be more reliable.

---

never parallel cells

they must be identical or the weaker one will be charged by the stronger

a+b< 2a+2b/2

if you have room use AA instead of AAA

cells in series work pretty well but for some reason the + cell seems to drain first

How do you wire 3 12 volt batteries to get 24 volts how to connect the wire?

Wire two of the 12 volt batteries in series and the third battery in parallel with the other two. As the two batteries wired in series will give you 24 volts but the amps of only one of the batteries, unless you need the extra amperage of that third battery I would just go with two batteries wired in series. But if you want to use three batteries then connect the positive from one battery to the negative of the other battery. This will give you 24 volts. Now just connect the negative of the third battery to the negative of the first battery connected in series with the second battery. Now connect the positive to the second battery to the positive of the third battery. You will now still have 24 volts but twice the amperage of one of the batteries.

What batteries do furby need?

Depends on what Furby you have, really. If you have a "First Generation Furby" (the 1998 versions), put two batteries in the battery compartment of the furby, making sure that the small round part of each battery is not facing the prongs in the battery compartment, and then slip two batteries into the compartment door. For the 2012 Furbys, you should insert two batteries that should rest in the battery compartment, and put two more batteries ontop of the ones in the battery compartment in place. For the 2005 Furbys, there is an illustration in the battery compartment showing how the batteries should be inserted.

Can someone tell me what a 2cr5 battery is?

2cr5 batteries are rechargeable batteries, most notably used in Cannon cameras. For all intents and purposes, it is two lithium double A batteries in one battery pack.

What websites are selling the cheapest laptop batteries?

My-batteries sells batteries at a reasonable price. Laptop battery depot is also reasonably priced on most varieties of batteries. These two are both easy to use sites. You are able to find the battery by computer model or battery model on both of these sites.

How do you wire 3 12 volt batteries to get 24 volts?

You do not need three 12 volt batteries to get 24 volts, all you need is two batteries. So I assume by using three batteries you want to increase the amperage. Wire two of the batteries in series and then wire the third battery to the second battery in parallel and you will have 24 bolts. Or you can just wire two 12 V batteries in series to get 24 V.

How to connect 4 - 6V batteries for -12V system?

In order to connect 4-6 volt batteries and end up with 12volts you will need to understand parallel and series connections. to connect two batteries in parallel you would connect the positive side of one battery to the positive side of the other battery; and the negative side of one battery to the negative of the other battery. doing this will not change the voltage. to connect in series you connect the positive of one battery to the negative of the other battery. doing this will increase the voltage;in this example you will end up with 12v. 6+6=12. when you stack batteries in a 2-cell flashlight that is connecting the batteries in series. The answer to the question is: connect two batteries in series; then connect the other two batteries in series. after this is done connect the two pairs of batteries in parallel. If you think of it visually you would have two batteries wide and two batteries tall.

What is two batteries in a circuit called?

If the batteries are connected from + (positive) to - (negative) then the batteries are connected in "series". If the batteries are AA (1.5v each), then the resulting voltage of the two connected in series will be 3.0v. If the batteries are connected + to + and - to -, then they are connected in "parallel" and for the same batteries the voltage would be 1.5v, but would last twice as long as one battery by itself. A truck battery system is two 12v batteries connected in series (+ to -) to give the truck a running power of 24v.
