Can Jack Russell terriers get blue eyes?

my dog is a jack Russell terrier-

dog's are not color blind--that's an old belief that doesn't hold water anymore.my dog often times mistakes certain items for something else momentarily due to color likenesses. he has an orange colored extendable leash.he also has a toy that is orange and a couple times when I mentioned going outside,there was a partial view of his toy nearby and he automatically lunged for it believeing it was his leash.upon realizing it wasn't he searched for his leash and found it . the only similarity between the two objects is that they're orange.he's frequently in the past temporarily mistaken certain things for others based only on the color of the items involved. his harness is red and at one time in a hurry, temporarily mistook a red rag that lay across the room on the floor for being his harness but quickly realized it was not after getting nearer to it /several rags were laying around as i'd been washing clothes,but he went for the red one.this isn't coincidence as I said,he's done this so many times in the past regarding other items and still does from time to time/.it's obvious at those times what his thinking was,which was 'color' and the fact that usually a partial view of the item was present or the item was across the room and easily mistaken momentarily for something else due to identical color/.also,dogs do recognize animals and people on television.my dog won't pay any attention to dramas,scifi,action movies,etc but loves animal planet and recognises animals on the screen ..it's hilarious..don't let anyone tell you that dog's don't understand words and only tone of voice..my dog understands at least 100 commands .."lets' go to the coke machine"..he leads me to the coke machine in the laundry room here in my apartment complex.."go to the car" he goes directly to the car. if I say "let's go to denny's" or "Walmart" he won't budge and I can't get him out the door..why? he doesn't like being left In the car for an hour when I go in those places(I go at night when it's cool out,like at 2 or 3am.he's never left in a hot car) .but if I say "let's go to grandmother's" he'll go straight to her apartment in a flash,not even stopping to smell the roses along the way.he knows what I say when I tell him "let's go sit on the steps",let's sit by the tree" /he understands many general statements "look out the window"(and he will),"your toy is in the kitchen", he finds it and retrieves it. if I drop food on the floor and he doesn't see me drop it,i say"i dropped food" and he's immediately scouring the area for food where I'm standing or sitting,unless I say" I dropped some food in the kitchen" and then he races in there searching all over the place til he finds it./he understands much much more and it has nothing to do with the tone of my voice/.trust me.the old studies claim dogs are color blind,that dogs don't have memory(that they only think in the here and now) and they only understand tone of voice are all old and outdated beliefs and studies.but many vets and dog trainers still believe that old garbage and will try to convince people that it's still true/

Well, any type of dog can have blue eyes; It all depends on the color of the parents eyes. For example, if the father has brown eyes and the mother has blue eyes, the puppy would most likely have brown eyes, since brown is the more dominant color. However, if the father's parents or grandparents had blue eyes, the puppy could as well, since the recessive trait (blue eyes) appears in the second or third generation (the puppy).
