Here is what The Bible has to say concerning putting our trust in men.

Psalm 146 : 3,-10 reads. "Do not put your trust in princes or 'nobles', nor son of man, who cannot bring salvation; His spirit or 'breath' goes out, he returns to ground; on that day his thoughts perish. Happy is the one who hopes is in Jehovah God, The Maker of heaven and earth, Of the sea, and of all that is in them, The One who always remains faithful, The One securing justice for those defrauded, The One giving bread to the hungry.... Jehovah will be king forever, Your God for generation after generation . Praise Jah!

The qualities of God, that are highlighted is the Scriptures above are: The Maker of heaven and earth, the One who remains faithful, The One securing justice, The One who feeds us, The One being king forever, and should be praised.

Obama has had the opportunity to prove how limited he was, as a human being with the best intentions and bad choices, which is what history with him as the President of the United States shows.

The Bible encourages us to put our faith in someone who has our best interest, generation after generation, confirmed in Isaiah 48: 17,18 in these words.

"I, Jehovah, am your God, The One teaching you to benefit yourself, ( or for your own good ) The One guiding you in the way you should walk. If only you would pay attention to my commandments! Read Psalm 32: 8

Today Obama is richer now than when he became president, like so many before him. The American people are all struggling to make ends meet on daily bases.

The solution that God has in stock for mankind is His kingdom, which is the government that will undo all the harm that millenniums of human rule have done.

It will provide: Perfect health, Peace and security, and a clean environment for all those who take their stand for God's standards and solution. Which is why, when Jesus was on earth, told us to pray for God's kingdom to come, in Matthew 6: 9,10, where His will, will take place as in heaven also on earth.

Psalms 37: 29 shows what our future holds, in these words. " The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it".

And as 2 Peter 3: 13 confirms in these words: " But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise ( God's promise ) and in these righteousness is to dwell.

Verse 14 encourages us to do our utmost to be found finally by him ( by God ) spotless and unblemished and in peace. The only knowledge that can make us better citizens is the Bible. 2 Timothy 3: 16,17

So to answer your question: What history has shown is as Jeremiah 10: 23 confirmse in these words. " It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step".

Humans were not created to rule themselves. They do a poor job of governing other people and solving their problems.

Any politician can make a difference in history. Only history will judge if he or she has made a difference. In fact, every person makes a difference in history, but some people make a bigger difference than others and some people make a negative difference, which is to say the world would have been better off without them.
