President Obama has never said he would stop Arizona from deporting illegals. In fact, under his administration, more illegals have been deported than under President Bush. That said, President Obama believes in the Dream Act, and believes it is wrong to punish children who were unknowingly brought here without any say in the matter and have lived here all their lives. He also believes, as did President Bush, that current immigration policies are not working and there needs to be a revision of current laws. He also disagreed with the provisions in the Arizona Immigration Law (SB 1070); so did the Supreme Court, which struck down three of its four major provisions.
As the president, Obama had the power to implement executive actions that instructed Immigration enforcement agencies to prioritize certain groups of undocumented immigrants for deportation. However, he did not have the authority to directly stop individual states like Arizona from enforcing their own immigration laws. The issue of deportation and immigration enforcement is a complex and shared responsibility between the federal government and individual states.
what did republicans stop Obama from passing legislation
He Never Will!
This is not a process that is easy for you to do alone. An immigration lawyer is absolutely necessary. If you have this problem, I recommend that you contact one as soon as necessary.

yes obama will stop the war, by using common sense, and foreign policy. Bush has niether, nor does McCaine. Obama was hot to stop the war when he thought it would get him elected. He has done little to change from our course under Bush. The war will be still be going when Obama leaves the White house in 2012.
