No RAM is not. Open source products such as memtest86 found here http://www.memtest86.com actually overwrite RAM and then checks it for inconsistencies to see if memory is bad.

i have a 94 ram and its underneath the kneeknocker. should say its a wiper relay on it. might be the same, dont think they changed the underside of the dash much
