It is not advisable to mix these different types of pain relievers.
No. Tylenol has acetaminophen as its active ingredient. Ibuprofen belongs to a separate class of drugs known as NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) and is the active ingredient in products such as Motrin and Advil.
1 tablet with 800 mg of ibuprofen has the same amount of active ingredient as 4 tablets with 200 mg of ibuprofen each (200 mg is a pretty common dosage for over-the-counter ibuprofen tablets).
two
nothing unusual. Oxycodone and ibuprofen have no multipler or syserginic reactions like if you took xanax and alcohol. Dont take anymore ibuprofen than that though because it is very bad for the liver.
Regular Motrin contains 200 mg of ibuprofen.
it can
These two medications work on pain through different mechanisms so they can be taken together, but DO NOT take them until you have talked to your doctor and/or pharmacist. These drugs may have reactions to other medications you are on, diseases, and/or food and drink. p.s. the 325 mg in percocet refers to the acetaminophen, but it also contains oxycodone (narcotic).
yes. 200+200=400, etc. the percentage of active ingredients is the same no matter the mass of the dosage.
Yes. Advil like Motrin contains Ibuprofin. Hydrocodone contains Acetaminophen. They cab be taken together with caution. Take no more than 200 MG's (1-tab) of ADVIL every 4 hours if taking a 5-500 Hydrocodone tab. Acetaminophen is REALLY bad for your liver in high concentrations so don't ever take more than 8 Hydrocodone in a 24 hour period.
Yes, when I broke my ankle the doctor gave me 200 milligrams of ibuprofen, and I am a 165 pound human adult male. A 165 pound adult male can handle 200 milligrams of ibuprofen A 20 pound puppy cannot
Answer: Because, acetaminophen based products; Tylenol etc... does not have the anti- inflammitory properties that ibuprofen and aspirin have. Since aspirin causes stomach upset in some, we are pushed to ibuprofen. Personally I trust aspirin much more, because it's been around forever. To avoid upset, I buy Enteric coated. It bypasses the stomach and dissolves in the intestine. Howver- note: Aspirin has a blood thinning effect, so if you take blood thinners (Coumadin), talk to your doctor.
Bening Mortrin 800 is an Anti-Inflammatory and Flexeril is a mucle relaxant, I can personnal assure you that you would be alright consuming those inconjunction with one another without issues. As long as you have no allergies regarding said medications. I have used that combination for years and have never encounter a problem to date.
