Most all Prepaid plans offer texting packages. Alltel and Hargray are two companies that I know of who offer free texting with their prepaid plans. If you don't get a texting plan with your prepaid look to pay up to 25 cents per message.
You can also get texting only plans now on a prepaid phone. You then just pay by the minute if you are mostly a text user. This is available on Virgin Mobile.

∙ 14y agoFirst make sure there is enough money on the account to make or receive calls or send or receive text messages. When you do, go to the menu, and press ok on messages. Then go to inbox and go to the message you want to read. Then press ok. All phones are different, I hope I helped! =D
