Yes it is possible, but its important you think about this one a little more because this is what will happen to you: Emancipation basically means you are divorcing your parent(s). This means the mother (or father or both) that love you very much will not be allowed to have anything to do with you. So, if you should become emancipated from your mother and change your mind .... oh, oh, guess what? You just can't change your mind like that. You more than likely will be a ward of the court system and this means you can go into foster care. While there are many wonderful foster care providers out there, there are some pretty bad ones too and you could end up worse off than you are now. If you mother feeds you, puts a roof over your head, loves you, cares about where you are and what you are doing; perhaps drives you to school, cares whether you get good grades or not then you should consider yourself very lucky. There are many kids out there that have no parents either due to death or the parents didn't care enough to keep their child(ren.) These are not reasons to leave home: Told to do certain chores around the house Told to come home at a certain time Told when and where you can go Told to do your homework Scolded for not doing homework Scolded because you are cheeky or swearing Told you can't get any body piercing Told you can't die your hair a vivid color Told you can't go to rave parties Told you can't drink or smoke I could go on and on, but you get the picture. Emancipation from a parent can take a long time, and it's not easy. You will be forced to go into court and I doubt you would like that one. Try helping your mom a bit more and sitting down and talking to her and if you feel she isn't being fair then sit down and tell her why you don't think she is being fair. Perhaps on one of two subjects she will compromise with you. I don't know of any state that will allow a 13-year-old to be emancipated. In order to be emancipated you have to prove to the court (among other things) that you are capable of fully supporting yourself without any assistance. You have to pay your own rent, buy your groceries, pay utilities, etc AND remain in school. A 13-year-old can't even get a job, so how can they do that?

Just about every state (I think there are a few exceptions, such as CA) requires that a minor be at least 16 in order to petition for emancipation. Even if you were allowed to petition for emancipation, how do you plan to support yourself at 14? There are laws restricting the number of hours that 14-year-old can work. Unless you happen to be a child actor or a professional athlete making big bucks, it would be almost impossible for you to earn enough money to cover rent, utilities, food, etc. The minimum age for emancipation in those states that allow the act is 16.

Emancipation laws vary by state, so you need to check the laws of the state that you reside in. I am only aware of one state (CA) that would allow a 15-year-old to petition for emancipation. Even if you were allowed to petition, you

If you went to boot camp with your parents' consent and became legally emancipated and got sent home for medical reasons would you still be legally emancipated now that you're home and still under 18?

That's a question for an attorney in the state in which you were emancipated. However, assuming the emancipation was not conditional (such as you remaining in the service), you probably are. The real question is this: If you're emancipated, what are you calling "home?" If what you're referring to as "home" is where your parents live, an emancipated individual would be a guest in their home and obviously could be invited to remain (or not) at their pleasure.

Can female that's 16 emancipated herself to get married in south Africa?

If she is legally emancipated (by the courts) then yes. If over the age of majority, which is now 18, she does not need anyones approval. If she is under the age of 18 and not legally emancipated, then she will need her parents approval. Certain ages require the Minister of Home Affair's approval. See the Children's Act of 2005

Can a seventeen year old with a baby legally move out of parents home in nebraska?

In Nebraska, the legal age of majority is 19, but individuals can legally move out at 17 if they are emancipated by a court. To do this, the person would need to demonstrate that they are able to financially support themselves and their baby. It is recommended to seek legal guidance to navigate the emancipation process.
