Hell no. what do you need from a fifteen year old or what does a fifteen year old need from a twenty year old? If I was the 15 year olds parent there is no way possible that I'm going to let my child date a twenty year old. And why do you want to date somebody so young. out of all the people your age you could date you had to go and get somebody that young? please. it's a sexual relationship because if you weren't having sex then what do you have in common? nothing! so I think whoever the parent is needs to take some drastic measures and see that this relationship comes to an end. not to be harsh or maybe you can wait until he or she is eighteen, but fifteen and twenty, no way, that is ridiculous. I'm sure it's somebody else you could find whomever this person your dating I'm sure someone out there is much more suitable. that is just no not right. YOU CAN GO TO JAIL PARENTS CONSENT OR NOT!!! When a 20 year old guy claims to be "in love" with a 15 year old girl, or even just claims that he cares about her, he really just wants sex. Weather you've had sex yet or not, that is the only reason he is dating you. He is going to convince you that he loves you and that he really cares about you, then have sex with you. If it's good, then he'll stay with you; if it isn't then he'll dump you. I know he might not act like this, he may be very convincing when he tells you that he loves you and cares about you and that it isn't about sex, and he may say that he would never try to pressure you into having sex. But he knows what he's doing, and he knows that he's not going to get what he wants unless he can convince you that he really cares about you. DON'T FALL FOR IT! -DJ Craig

There are no laws that restrict "dating." But an 18-year-old cannot have sex with a 15-year-old in any U.S. state. The age of consent in every U.S. state is either 16, 17 or 18.

Specifically, the age of consent in California is 18. However, it is a misdemeanor (not a felony) if you are no more than 3 years older than the minor. So an 18-year-old having sex with a 15-year-old (or a 16-year-old having sex with a 19-year old, or a 17-year-old having sex with an 18-year old) would be a misdemeanor.

It depends on what one calls a "date". A 15 year old may legally accompany a 20 year old anywhere it is legal for them to go, as long as he/she has parental approval. A 15 year old may sit and watch television or talk with a 20 year old. They may legally play games together. It is Illegal for a 20 year old to engage in any sexually oriented activity with a 15 year old. Even kissing can be considered an illegal activity, depending on the circumstances and whether the 15 year old person's parents approve. Because the 20 year old is legally an adult and the 15 year old is not, the 20 year old has Adult responsibilities in regard to child abuse.

i do not know be i say no . Added: If the 15 year olds parents/guardians object they could file a restraining oorder against the adult. I'm sorry - but the prevailing assumption is that there is a sexual component to your relationship, and the 21 year old is leaving themselves wide open for a charge of statutory rape, or at the very least, contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Dating is legal and there are no laws against it but there are strict laws regarding sex. But you asked about dating. Since the 13yo is a minor she will need parental permission to do many things and dating is one of them. If they are against it and you do it anyway, it only takes one person reporting statutory rape and the 18yo will have a very hard time proving nothing happened, if he can prove it at all.

It is legal. As soon as she dings 18, it'll be legal for anything.

In most places, however, you should be able to be in a relationship with an underage person so long as the years of difference don't exceed 5.

So yes, it's legal for a 20 year old guy to date a 17 year old girl in California without having sex.

No, age of consent is 18 in California. Parents can not give legal consent for their minor child to have sex. The minor must have reached age of consent in the state. If the child was below age of consent and the parents knew they had sex, they can be charged with aiding to statutory rape.

While there are no laws about what age you have to be to date, there are laws about sexual activity depending on the state. That is way too young to risk even a hint of impropriety, it could ruin the older one's life. And there really isn't a reason for someone out of high school to be dating someone that young. In most places you have to be at least 16 to consent, if not 17 or 18.

Dating is legal but a minor can only see the ones her parents agree to her seeing since she is a minor. They can get a restraining order against you.
