It would be possible to do that... you would most likely have to move around the motor mounts and possibly get a hold of a whole new wiring harness for that particular motor. But It honestly wouldn't be worth it, you'd be better off just buying the truck that already has the motor in it.
Only if you have the 2.5 liter four cylinder engine in a 2001 Ford Ranger . ( that engine has a timing BELT )
A 2001 Ford F-150 could have a V6 or V8 engine A 2001 Ford Ranger XLT could have a 4 cylinder or the 3.0 or 4.0 liter V6 engine
The 2.5 L - SOHC - 4 cylinder engine available in the 2001 Ford Ranger has a TIMING BELT
I need firing orders on a 2001 ford ranger 4.0 engine v6
145hp
Check out www.fueleconomy.gov
With engine oil filter change ( 5.0 quarts / 4.7 liters of engine oil ) according to the 2001 Ford Ranger Owner Guide for the 4.0 liter V6 engine
On a 2001 Ford Ranger : The 4.0 liter Single Over Head Cam , V6 engine has ( 3 ) timing CHAINS
For a 2001 Ford Ranger , 3.0 L " Vulcan " V6 engine : I believe that is rated at ( 150 horsepower at 4750 RPM )
No , the 2.3 liter four cylinder engine used in a 1991 Ford Ranger is NOT an interference engine ( according to the Gates website , they make timing belts etcetera )
to answer the question, yes. it can be done you just have to swap your old parts or mod the harness. *flex* i did it
Most likely would be the 2001-current 4.0L with the SOHC engine. The best looking one is the 2005 Ford Ranger STX with the same engine.
