Can Kindle books be bought on your Mac?
If you have a Kindle 3G, there is absolutely no need for a connection to any computer. Upon placing an order for a kindle book on amazon.com the book is delivered wirelessly to the device. The device basically has a cell phone inside that operates on Sprint's CDMA network. This is all free of charge. This way you get new content on the device without it ever touching a computer. If you do live in an area where you don't have good CDMA reception or if have a WiFi only Kindle you can plug the kindle into any computer using a USB cable and it will basically just act as a USB flash drive. You will see all the files on the kindle and you just need to place the kindle books in the correct folder. The kindle operates a Linux operating system so it should cause no issues connecting it to any OS whether it be Windows, Mac OSX, or any distro of Linux.

Plug in your kindle to your MAC or windows computer and it will map a drive letter. Go into the kindle drive and make a directory called video or movies etc. There may already be on there. Just copy the movie to the kindle drive.

How do you eject your Kindle from your computer?
I love computer folks and their thought that all of us use their language. I was baffled by that message too. I did some research and here is what I came up with... Go to the start menu on your computer while the kindle is plugged into your usb port. Go to My Computer (or just Computer on Windows Vista). Open that and you should see your kindle in one of your drives. Right click over that drive and you should see an option to eject. Click on that and you should be able to go back to reading your kindle. Why it doesn't say "Go to start menu, then my computer then right click on kindle and click eject" to continue reading while plugged into the usb port....is totally beyond me.

well im a mac and i found out that u can read it if u are willing to pay a little. go to amazon.com type in that book and there should be a red cover. if u click that book there is something that says download to kindle. click that, and there are options, kindle for mac and kindle for PC. there are also some others. well depending if u are a PC or a mac download it and select the book to download to the kindle for PC or mac. and there it is after u send it to the kindle. and if u want the computer to read it to u it doesn't work
