Yes, as long as the tank is big enough, has a good temperature gradient, separate areas, hides, branches, levels, pond etc. and the snakes are conditioned to eat different feed. I have kept a 16ft Burm and a 6ft Boa in a 13ft x 13ft x 8 ft custom tank for 7yrs along with a Brazilian and Columbian boa. They all have their own preferred spot, but hang out together (all curled on top of each other) from time to time. The myth about snakes eating other snakes is rubbish, my small boas eat chicks and mice, the BC eats rats and the BP eats rabbits, and goats, feed the biggest first then work your way down.
I would not recommend keeping them in a small off the shelve viv even the biggest, as you are not going to achieve the temp gradients that you need. Go to a cave in South America or south East Asia; you will see more than one species hanging out in it.
No, for one the Burmese is going to be much bigger than your boa. Another is boas carry diseases that do not affect them and are deadly to pythons. Such as IBD, although it can on occasion affect a boid.
i got the same Q up on a diff site ill let you know the answer
No, absolutely not (even if it wanted to, which it wouldn't). First of all, they are found on different continents in nature. Secondly, why would a 15+ foot snake breed with a 3-5 ft. snake? It wouldn't. Glad you asked before you tried, though. Keep them in separate habitats, as well. If you already have a burm, be prepared for size accommodations. :)
Edit:
They can and the offspring is called a Burm Ball. It is frowned on to breed them though because they are hybrids and most folks don't like hybrids. But yes it is possible. Most of the time they have a mixed pattern, take on the length of the Burm and the thickness of the Ball and usually but not 100% take on the nicer temperament of the Ball. I don't recommend it myself
I wouldn't advise it due to their size difference, and for sanitary/quarantine/safety reasons (the ball python could be eaten when the Burmese is in feeding mode, before and after feeding time, which it can remain in for several days. It can also be crushed while the Burmese is moving around or when the two are fighting for resources e.g. heat, hides, etc.). It's not generally advised to house any two snakes together unless you are breeding them. Even if they're same size/sex/species, except for a few gregarious snakes such as some garter snakes. Of the ones you can house together, all should be checked by a vet and put in quarantine for 5 months or more (wash hands/body between handling, changes clothes between cages, keep in separate cage and room, etc.) before introduction.
Take your pick... Anaconda, Boa constrictor, Burmese python, Reticulated python.
No - Pythons and Boas are from completely separate families within the reptiles group ! They require completely different living conditions and temperature ranges !
Boa constrictor Burmese python Corn snake King snake Anaconda African house snake Royal python
it is the scientific name for a red tail boa
Absolutely NOT ! They are from different continents and require COMPLETELY different climates and living conditions !
no, dont even try
Of course a boa would win.The python is no match for the boa.But in the movie boa vs python, the boa loses against the python, which is not at all true.
