No more than someone with a prescription for morphine is. You can still be tested, but the tests *should* be tempered with an understanding of any medicines the person is on. Of course, if you have a job where you are not allowed to have drugs in your system, you have a problem.
I thought about answering this question but realized, without medical and legal facts, would not be proper. I will add that nobody is exempt, in general, from drug tests. However, if you are medically prescribed a drug by an MD, and said drug does not affect whatever the reason one is being tested for; i.e. a job application, any decent purpose for such a test, should not be held against you.
However, any controlled substance, prescribed or not; I have personal professional input on this; will raise a red flag and you can easily be asked to provide a copy of your medical records. In addition, some other professions; therapists, psychiatrists, etc. can easily question the prescribing DR as to their legitimacy for the prescription.
In other words, what your GP prescribes may be totally against what a psychiatrist thinks and because a psych. has more say in psychotropic drugs, can easily override a GP even if you have been on the same drug regimen for years. I'm facing this disparity currently myself.
That's the sad, but valid reality; one which I personally do not agree with.
No, if your boss or future boss wants to fire/not hire you because you tested positive for marijuana is his choice. And you can't be "exempt from drug testing" because they want to test you for everything else too so yeah. Cannabis cards basically protect you from prosecution. If you have your card just let your boss know that it will not effect your work in any negative way and that you need it (assuming you do).
Drug testing is aimed at cannabis users. Without them the drug testing industry wouldn't be able to exist
No. The International Olympic Committee is the drug testing authority at the Games, and they test everyone.
They already have it's called a spice test, and they test for synthetic cannabis
Synthetic mairjuana can be detected in specific drug tests. As time progresses more and more companies will be testing for the JWH compounds. http://www.k2info.org/k2_incense_synthetic_marijuana_spice/synthetic-cannabis-drug-testing-resources/
I don't believe cannabis IS considered a deadly drug.
why should cannabis be classed as class a drug
a herbal drug ?
Yes. There is no oath or promise with a doctor of keeping illegal drug use hidden. If that was the case no DUIs would be prosecuted nor drug use.
No. Cannabis is only harmful to individual if you consider yourself as a hardcore pot smoker. Other than that, it's medicinal.
a drug test
Cannabis itself (weed) would be the drug technically but THC and several other cannabinoids are the chemicals produced by the cannabis plant that "get you high".
Any drug made from the hemp plant, (genus cannabis). Sage.
