yes you can drive it without thermostat the only thing is before winter you will want to replace it or your heater will not work
( also the engine will take longer to warm up , the gas mileage will suffer , the check engine light will probably come on etc . )
The 2002 Ford Explorer 4.6 liter engine oil pan can be removed without removing the engine. The oil pan can be removed from the bottom of the engine.
Replace it with the exact same temperature thermostat as the one you removed. Do not run the engine without a thermostat. The thermostat is required to keep the engine running at the optimum temperature that will give the best performance and mileage. If it is overheating running it without a thermostat is not the solution.
Yes. But running without a thermostat will cause the engine to be overcooled, because the restriction normally provided by the thermostat on the flow of coolant from the radiator around the engine has been removed, so too much coolant will flow and the engine will run too cool. If the engine is not up to temperature it uses more fuel, will produce less power, will wear more, and will not heat the cabin heater as well. So it's not a good idea to run without a thermostat. It is acceptable to run without a thermostat in an emergency, e.g. if the thermostat has failed and doesn't open, causing the engine to overheat. Just make sure you replace it as soon as you can. Running without the thermostat may also trip the check engine light to come on.
that is probably an oil pressure switch that you see. coolant temp sensor is usually near the thermostat in the manifold.
All cars can be driven without a thermostat. The thermostat is used to heat the car in winter by forcing the water temperature up.
I had a similar issue one day, my friend mechanic advised that the thermostat had siezed, he removed the thermostat, cut the spring and re installed it, I have used it now for 4 months with no issues to date. Please check with a technician, as I reside on an Island that is constant 84 degrees and the engine does not really need a thermostat. As to update this, I have now used this car without the spring in the thermostat for nearly 2 years and without any issues, temp remains well below half way mark
An Accord will run without a thermostat. But, it will not operate properly. The heat, fuel/air mixture, even the mileage depend on the thermostat keeping the engine in the correct temperature range.
If the thermostat has failed it will need replaced.
The coccyx can not be removed without after effect pain.
NO,never good to run any car without a thermostat will ruin your engine
Vehicle will run without a thermostat - however will not run as efficiently and will have not heat
