They get along just fine now and my little girl's about a year old.
In my opinion, the older cat just has to get used to this new little beast in her territory.
Well it actually also depends on the enviorment its in and how the people who are living with it act.Like me and my brother and mom have had a cat and she's a girl for about 7-8months and we treat her very well and give her baths, she doesn't scratch even if she's hissing she doesn't scratch or anything,so she's a very mellow cat though she also is very active and fiesty. While about 7months as my older cat,we gots her sister that was 7weeks,my older cat was jelous but she learned to get along, and people say it took them about 3-5weeks for their cats to get along when it only took mynes 2-3days and she was playing with the kitten like her best friend,so it really depends on how your cats or cat was raised and the enviermant it got brought up in.( and what ever you do make sure you pay attention to the first cats or cat you've had a little more than the kitten, especially when its a girl,so they or it doesn't get jelous and think that she's less than,or he)
NO
No. It is not possible for a male cat to have kittens. In order to have kittens a cat must have a uterus and male cats do not have a uterus. If your male cat is having kittens, it is not a male, it is a female.
Yes. My cat had four kittens. please check out my message board. Thanks, horseluver11
Tabbys can be male or female.
Tortoise-shells are only female though and if a male is tortoise-shelled, he has an extra X gene.
The size of the litter averages about three to five kittens, and the first litter is usually smaller than the first.
Nope, it can be a litter of both.
No.
If your female cat does not quit meowing it could be spring and she is in heat/looking for a mate. Or she could be preparing to have kittens. Or she could be sick.
Kittens are made when a female cat and a male cat love each other they have sexual intercourse. The male cat's penis goes into the female's vagina and the sperm meets the eggs, fertilizing them. After 6 to 8 weeks the female cat gives birth to 1 to 7 kittens.

usually cats have only about 2-3 kittens in their first litter
A male cat is usually called a "tom". A female cat is often referred to as a "queen".

The male cat doesn't take part in the raising of the kittens it really doesn't care about the kittens just the female and the sex

Yes. When a cat is about to have kittens, there is a certain smell, and other cats can smell this.

No. Any cat over one year of age(that is a female) can have kittens.
No, a spayed cat will not be able to have kittens, nor come on heat. The spaying procedure removes the reproductive organs which renders a female cat unable to come into season and have kittens.

orange is sex linked dominate, a female orange cat will almost always have a few orange kittens, and a male orange cat can have orange daughters --- If the orange one is the mother, all the male kittens will be orange. If the orange is the father, you wont get any ginger kittens but you will get tortoiseshell female kittens.
If you spay your cat, you are making sure your cat doesn't have kittens. If you want kittens to sell or give away to people, or just keep at home, then don't spay your female cat. Birth is a very exciting thing, and you'll have mini-copies of your cat running around the house! :) If you want kittens, make sure not to spay your cat. But females can only get spayed. When boy kitties can't have kittens, they are neutered. It takes a male and a female cat to have kittens. But when there are kittens, make sure the male stays away, maybe in the other part of the house, or in a big dog excercise pen, or somewhere where he can't get to the kittens. Or he'll kill them to be with his mate, the female cat. Good luck with your kittens!
