Secular Answer

Of course they can, and many people do. Some Reform Rabbis and Catholic Priests will perform joint wedding ceremonies. However, many Jews and Catholics believe that such marriages should not be performed because they believe in marrying within their religion to ensure that the children will be raised in that tradition. Jewish men face the additional hurdle that, except in some Liberal congregations, the child of a Jewish man and a non-Jewish woman is automatically considered to be non-Jewish regardless of upbringing.

Religious Answer

He is physically capable, but prevented by his religion. Both Judaism and Catholicism prohibit it.

Yes, but according to the rules any resulting kids won't be considered Jews, even if said kids look middle eastern, while the kids of a Jewish woman and a white man that look like Dolph Lundgren ARE considered Jews even though they don't look middle eastern.

He is physically capable, but both religions prohibit it..
In addition to the Torah's prohibition against intermarriage, there are very many cases in which the spouses use the religious difference as fuel to add to the flames once they're already fighting over other matters. Maintaining a marriage is hard enough without the interfering factor of different religious backgrounds.
Also, there is the question of how to raise the children. A seemingly kumbaya-type peace-loving interfaith education very often turns out to be confusing to the children, who now have no complete identity. Statistics show that mixed-marriage children are less likely to practice any religion at all, than are their single-faith counterparts (even those of minimally-religious homes).
In actual practice, intermarriage amounts to assimilation, the product of which is descendants who may no longer see themselves as part of the religious heritage of either parent.

If she wants to. You can't really control what people want to do and who people want to marry. If she loves the guy she might marry him anyway.

A Catholic priest would ask that the Jewish woman first convert to the Catholic church. A rabbi would suggest that the Catholic man first convert to Judaism. The clerk in the marriage bureau in City Hall would just marry them and ignore the religious differences.

Neither the priest nor the rabbi would suggest that conversion is easy or that it was just a pro-forma thing. Both would insist on a period of serious study, possibly involving conversion classes, but in a small community, possibly one-on-one study.

Can a divorced greek orthodox woman marry a catholic man in a catholic church if her first marriage was annulled by the greek church?

The answers is no, if he wasn't divorced, yes, because the catholic church recognises the orthodox church as valid since they were one church before. However if he is divorced he is not allowed in either catholic or orthodox. A Catholic can marry any non- Catholic, and it is recognized as a sacrament in the Catholic church. Only when the individual has been previously married there is an issue. In which case that individual must have their previous marriage annuled. The Catholic church permits Catholics to marry in the Orthodox church and it is a sacrament. I have spoken to Catholic priests and Catholic Bishops and they do not see a problem with a Greek annulment, as being an impediment. If that individual did not have their marriage previously annulled than it would be an issue.

Can a divorced Ukrainian Orthodox man marry a Roman Catholic woman?

Roman Catholic AnswersAs Christians we believe that marriage is for life. We believe this as God created us, and this is how He made us. Thus a divorced person, if they have been validly married cannot marry again while that spouse is still alive. If in your question, you are referring to a "divorced Ukranian Orthodox man" who is still validly married in the eyes of the Church, then, no, you would not be able to marry a Catholic woman. You may speak to a priest about this, if there is some question as to the validity of your marriage, it might be annulled (declared that no sacramental marriage actually existed), then you would be free to marry a Catholic woman.

You want to marry a Catholic woman and you are divorced and non Catholic?
