Absolutely - many computer manufacturers source the parts for their machines from different companies. For example - they might buy the DVD-ROM drive from one company, the hard-drive from another & the display from a third. The goal is to produce a computer as cheaply as possible - and sell it for the best price to the customer - while getting the maximum profit for each machine.
Pretty much every computer company does more or less precisely this. In some cases the parts are custom-built to specifications provided by the assembling company rather than being more or less "off-the-shelf" components, but I can't think of any company that literally makes EVERY part in the computer themselves.
