This must be so painful for you; I'm so sorry you are going through this. It would help to know your age; I'm presuming you are in school. Would it be possible that your counselor at school could give you some help? Frankly, it doesn't seem reasonable to me that you should be kept in the dark, especially since you want to know what's going on. You might also check with your own doctor, who might be able to advocate for you. If these people can't help, I would call the doctor and make my case. If I am mistaken and you are an adult, I would visit (not call) dad's doctor and not leave until she/he gives me what I need to know.
