The answer is yes but the manual mode is computer assisted and requires no clutch; very similar to a F1 paddle shifter or Audi's Triptronic transmission. Shifting is done by bumping the shifter left for gearing down and right for gearing up. The transmission will automatically start you in 1st gear if you forget to shift down at a stop and I believe will shift you up if approaching red line (not sure because I never let it go that high). All in all it is a nice feature and gives you much better control over the power that the car delivers.

Manual transmission has a separate switch for the backup lights the automatic is built into the neutral safety switch on the transmission. Automatic switch is about $50.00. Manual switch is about $10.00. Hope you have a manual it is a lot cheaper.
