Of course!! Most of the time they become friends when they live together and have time to bond and get used to each other. Many stories of cats and dogs hating each other are made up for cartoon purposes and story purposes though so sometimes they don't care to be around each other even if they don't know each other. But yea they can become friends any day...!! :)

∙ 11y agoThey absolutely can! I knew a dog and a cat that loved each other and always took naps next to each other, so yes, dogs and cats can be friends. This is much easier to achieve if the animals grow up together. It's not uncommon to see the two animals playing together, or even to see the cat grooming the dog.
