Hi my oldest grandson is 12 years old and he is autistic. We have been living in Florida since he was 7 years old. Before living in Florida. We lived in Puerto Rico. I had a puppy and he would always go and give her some dog food and water every morning before going to school. We moved to Florida and had to give her away because we still did not have a home. let me tell you that he still remembers that dog her name was Lady; and he still calls her name. I think that he misses her because he is always calling her name. If we get them used to a pet they will really help out with the pet. They are not children that have hate in their hearts. They are very loving children. I think he misses the dog. Because he used to play with his neighbors dog. Our dogs was a small mutt. But the neighbors dog was a German Shepard. They moved out in this week so soon he will be missing the neighbors dog to. They also remember people that you do not remember. He still remembers his Head Start teacher and some of his friends form Puerto Rico .

She acquired a sheep herding dog that no one wanted. It's name was Torpedo. Her son called it Pedo. Anyway, this dog was great! Her son did not relate to other children at all. Pedo kept her son from jumping the fence and running away. He herded him by keeping him in the yard, accompanied him to and from the school bus, and wrestled with him.
