∙ 14y agoTake your dog straight to the vet and tell him or her what happened. Though there may be some protection from the last rabies vaccine your dog received, any such protection cannot be relied on. Your dog will need to be re-vaccinated. Skunks are well known carriers of rabies.

∙ 14y agoUnlikely, unless the dog is outside all the time. Ex. A chihuahua who lives indoors all the time is not likely to come in contact with any rabid animal.
