A hamster will eat anything you put in front of it. One thing to bear in mind is that hamsters are desert animals. Fruit and vegetables are something that is not found in their natural habitat and therefore not a part of their natural diet. Fruit contains sugars (fructose) sugar and salts draw water into the bowels this can cause what is known as osmotic diarrhea, not wet tail. All fruit should be avoided, and only a selected number of vegetable that have minimal water content with high fiber should be fed.
yeah of course, hamsters would eat any fruit, veg, ect in the wild and it would definitely eat lettuce. however, do not overfeed hamster with lettuce, the reason is that hamsters could get diarreah and this could cause stress, and maybe leading to wet-tail. hope this helped ;D

Absolutely! Fresh vegetables are great for hamsters. Hamsters love lettuce and would eat it all day if they could. Just make sure you rinse the lettuce well before you feed it to your hamster.

Mostly lettuce and carrots. If you asked this because your hamster is sick and this dosn't work try going to avet.
Yes, but not too much-there is a lot of moisture in lettuce.
Hamsters can eat Bell Peppers, but not chili peppers, mine like lettuce too.
yes hamsters can eat icberg lettuce. it may not completely fill their little tummy but it will give them something to snack on. I've been feeding it to my hamster and she was fine. You could give it some iceberg lettuce but not too much.
Yes, lettuce is fine for them. Make sure you rinse it well first before you give it to the hamster. There will probably be residual pesticides on it that cannot affect a human in those tiny quantities, but could build up in the smaller body of a hamster.
