Mechanical or kinetic energy
The word mountain can be used as an adjective. You might have a mountain bike, or mountain gear, or you might hike a mountain pass or trail.
it turns mechanical/kinetic energy from the bike's movement into electricity that can be used topower the bikes lights.
Marzocchi bomber forks are used as a dirt jump shock but i ride DH on my dirt jump bike with those shock and can manage.
not all are. if you want to do dirt jumping i recommend you do not use a normal mountain bike. get a proper dirt jump bike. i used a felt q520 xc bike to dirt jump and the forks broke and i took it in and the mechanic said i had damaged the frame and it was close to snapping.
As a general rule if two bikes are in the same price range, the smaller of the two will be lighter. This because there is less material used in the smaller BMX due to it's much simpler construction. But, when you head for the high end, a flatland or racing bike is going to be much lighter compared to a mountain bike.
A cruiser bike is a bike that gives an upright riding postion, is usually blinged out, and is ridden rather sedately. MTBs are available in several different versions(XC, AM, DH), but basically they're about providing a compromise between ruggedness and rideability. Mountain bikes have much knobblier tires and usually have suspension, which is rarely available on cruisers. Mountain bikes are also used competitively.

chemical energy from food the rider has eaten gets turne into kinetic energy as the bike is moving. Then into potential energy as the bike heads uphill. As the bike heads down potential energy turns into kinetic energy.
If done properly it lets you build a lighter and/or stronger bike than steel would. And it's cheaper than carbon fibre or titanium.
