The stats are extremely low on this, but the odd couple fall through the cracks. It's different if you are going steady or are married to a partner and they go off to war or the company they work for have sent them off to Another Country for 6 months to a year. The other partner should be loyal and wait. It's easier because in those two cases there is a light at the end of the tunnel and generally speaking one can catch up on lost time and have a future to look forward too. Unless a person is lucky enough to have enough money to make several trips a year to visit this person in another country then it's not likely to work. Human nature made us so that we need to physically touch that person and see body language.

I'm sure it can, but that's very difficult! I've been in a long distance relationship for a year now and we live 3 hours apart. It's still very hard, but possible
