You need to ask yourself if your drug habit is consistent with providing for your children's safety and welfare.
A custody battle is dependant completely upon who would provide a better environment to live with. A father who is deserving can easily maintain custody (although a failed drug test would help) if he is able to show he is in the children's best interests, or is better off than the mother of the children. Of course, the large majority of custody battles sway toward the wife's side, quite a few fathers do end up with majority or joint custody.
That fully depends on the circumstances of the case. There are too many variables to even guess. Personally, I've seen it happen, even when the parent gave the child to the drug dealer as a deposit. The child's father, who didn't live with them, tracked the child down. The mother went through drug treatment and convinced a Dallas, TX judge that she was capable of taking care of her child. The father sold his three bedroom house and rented an apartment right across the hall from her.
That's up to the court to decide. Unless there is a conviction the court is likely to issue a visitation order unless the mother can provide evidence the father is unfit and the child would be endangered in his custody.

The past is just that, the past. What the courts look at are present conditions. There are cases of felons receiving custody of their children if the court finds that person would provide a more stable and loving environment for the child.
For an informed opinion, you should consult with an attorney in your area with a specialization in family law, outline all of the details and you will receive an informed opinion on whether or not the father's criminal past would impact the judge's ruling in your custody case.

No, but she can ask for supervised. Allegations of this type are standard by gatekeeper mothers.
Yes and rightly so
Yes if there is proof.
Yes she can unless she makes him leave. He can be considered a danger to the child.
I think that a person should not be allowed to have custody.
no
When married you have equal rights to the child.
yes.
If she is found to be unfit or addicted to drugs she could lose custody. Additionally, if she refuses to give the father visitation the judge could find her in contempt and change custody to the father.
Well, i don't really know but are you sure that you love this guy???
Yes. This has happened to my cousin.
Yes
It is possible for any family to lose custody of a child if the child is not well taken care of.
No not neccesarily because to be a drug addict you havr to be addicted to the drug but if the individual smoke multiple time a day but has the ability to stop they are not a drug addict. weed is tricky with addiction, everyone I know says they can quit anytime they want. But, have them try and go a month without it. they will suffer severe withdrawls and lose touch with reality. trying to philosiphy just to cope with it. that's what happened to me.. hard to be happy now.
Yes, of course she should.
