no a parent or guardian cannot get in trouble if a child decides to drop out. if he or she decides to drop out the state cant do anything about it.

If you are talking about dropping out of high school not really. get a GED and go to a trade school and focus on a career. i did this in 1981 and I make great money. DO NOT get into any trouble though, I had many friends screw up their lives by getting into trouble.
