Pelvic infection or Pelvic Inflammatory Disease is caused by one or more Sexually Transmitted Diseases. They usually only cause infertility if they go untreated for a long time, or you have several different episodes. The reason they cause infertility is by producing scar tissue in the Fallopian Tubes that interfere with the sperm getting to the egg. It can also increase your odds of having an ectopic or tubal pregnancy due to the fertilized egg getting stuck in the tube.

Can you get pregnant after a pelvic fracture?

It depends on whether your tubes were damaged (scarring from the infection) and if so to what extent. Scarring can stop the egg and sperm meeting or can block the fertilised egg`s journey down the tube- leading to a tubal pregnancy which must be removed via meds or surgery as it cannot develop there and can cause serious complications to your health. However, if you get immediate treatment for PID, there would no scarring in you fallopian tubes. That's say, you still could get pregnant if you go for appropriate treatment for PID.For treating PID, herbal therapy has shown great effects on curing it. The herbal medicine "fuyan pill" could could cure PID with low recurrence rate.If you worry about PID would influence your fertility ability, go to get cured.
