It would be very difficult. First of all, to take the GED, you have to wait until your normal high school class is getting ready to graduate. The unemployment rate for high school drop outs is well over 50%.
A person with an actual diploma will always get a job easier than one with a GED. Employers look for people who can stick it out and work through tough times, and if you drop out, they will think you will be likely to quit whenever the job gets hard. Nobody is going to want an employee who quits at the drop of a hat. A diploma shows them that you have what it takes to work hard and succeed.

Almost any job will accept a GED as proof of high school equivalency.
I honestly dont know...but if you do drop out, make sure you already have a job to drop into.
That may depend greatly on which state you live in and its laws governing this question. In most states you can drop out, but I don't recommend doing so. Statistically it is more difficult to find jobs wothout a high school education. If you decide to go ahead and drop out, I would suggest that you enter 'Job Corp' and most definatley get your GED as well.
Don't drop out of school just to go back later to get your GED. Why not finish and graduate with your class? If you have someone that can help you with your child, stay in school. There are all kinds of programs that assist teenage girls who have babies. If you are receiving any benefits, ask your worker for help in staying in school. You're probably bored with school dragging on while you have a child at home. But, a GED is not considered as good as a diploma. How do you know that you will even be able to go back to get your GED? Parentingbrings so many demands and your baby will be older and need more attention when try to go back. You don't know what you'll have to do tomorrow. Also, your choices for a job are very limited if you drop out. Stay in school; you'll appreciate the value of a diploma when you're trying to get into college.
Yes a person can work in minimum wage jobs without a HS Diploma or GED, but it is harder to find a decent job.
A high school diploma or GED is all the education needed to aquire a MIllwright job. Some companies will take an person if they have some trade school studies in industrial technology.
Most students who drop out of school after getting married, is because they can't afford to go to school anymore. They get a job, which does not pay as much as job that a person who graduates gets. Stay in school, graduate, get a job, then get married. Your marriage will probably last longer , if you have a good income, than if you are poor.

Other avenues for obtaining a GED could be offered in your area as well. When you apply for a job, be sure to list that you are working towards obtaining your GED.
