If you are having a regular period, why would you think you could be pregnant?
A home pregnancy test can detect the pregnancy hormone starting around 10 days after conception.
Both urine and blood pregnancy tests can detect pregnancy about 10 days after conception.
Usually if you miss your expected period, but now there are tests that can detect a pregnancy tests a little before your period is suppose to be.
This will generally depend on the test that is used to detect a pregnancy. Blood tests are more accurate in that they can detect a pregnancy earlier. As soon as two weeks after a missed period, blood tests can detect levels of Hcg (the hormone pregnant females produce). Urine pregnancy tests generally do not detect a pregnancy before the 6th week because sometimes it takes that long for Hcg levels to rise to the point where a urine test will be sensitive enough to detect it.
If you have missed your period, there is a chance that you may be pregnant. Many pregnancy tests are available on the market that can detect pregnancy within a very short time of conception. They can be purchased at many general grocery stores and at a pharmacy. Follow the directions and you should know in a short time if you are pregnant.
yes but you should wait at least until your next period is due to take a hpt.
Yes - I found out I was pregnant with my son before ever missing my period. Pregnancy tests measure the level of HPC (human chorionic gonadotropin) in your system, which is a hormone produced early in pregnancy by the placenta (the sac surrounding the baby).
The standard time frame for taking a pregnancy test is the 1st day after your missed period. Many home tests these days (like the clearblue easy) can detect the levels of hormones that indicate pregnancy 4 days before your period is due. If you are sure about your cycle length and are positive that you are 4 days late, then yes a pregnancy test can easily detect the pregnancy hormones.
When you get pregnant your body produces a pregnancy hormone that the HPT picks up. That is how it knows your pregnant. In early pregnancy the hormone is not always strong enough to be detected, that is why they suggest you wait until you miss you period to take the HPT. That is not to say it won't detect it, every pregnancy is different. If you want to know before you miss your period you should go to a doctor.
There are pregnancy tests on the market which can detect pregnancy earlier than your missed period. You could be pregnant but you wont know unless you miss your period and take another test. your doctor will be able to help
If you are on/had your period your probably not pregnant, but do a pregnancy test to be sure.
Your period shouldn't affect the test! There is really no point in doing a pregnancy test during a period. Usually, if you are having a period you are not pregnant. A pregnancy test senses the BHCG hormone so your period should not affect it.
