No. Being pregnant/having a child does not emancipate a person. Until the age of 18, one is a minor and their parents have the authority to decide where the minor can/can't live. If you leave home without your parents' permission then they can have you picked up by the authorities and returned home. There are some states that allow a teenager to petition the court for emancipation (not every state has emancipation laws), however, most (I think there are 1 or 2 exceptions) require a person to be 16 in order to petition for emancipation. In order for emancipation to be granted you would have to prove, among other things, that you are capable of fully supporting yourself and your child (rent, utilities, food, etc) *without any assistance* while remaining in school. It's hard for a teenage mother to do that. Plus, keep in mind that going to school all day and then working nights and weekends, leaves little time to spend with your child.
No, being pregnant does not change the legal age of majority law in the state where the minor is living. Likewise being pregnant or having a child will not automatically confer emancipation upon an underaged person.
answer.
it depends where abouts you stay, i.e. i stay near Glasgow and can get a house/flat if i wanted to move out my house but theres no point if your pregnant because your family can help you support your baby finacaly.
A 16-year-old is a minor and therefore subject to the control and authority of their parents, unless theyve been emancipated in some manner. Being pregnant/giving birth is not an emancipating event.
a friend of mine is 16 and has been abused physically n verbally by her parents for awhile now. i have a good job and am willing to allow her to live with me as long as she continues her education. she will have her own room and bathroom. i will take her to school everyday. Can you physically do it yes but they can stop you if they want to. Most states have an 18 and older statute to make an adult decision as this. Dont know why at 16 you would want to but I dont live there. If you feel you are being mistreated then talk to someone. You can be emancipated by a court of law if you can prove that. Try to work it out if you can. Suggest family counseling. The world is a big place for a 16 year old and you have lots to learn.
Not unless legally emancipated. That is, you go to a judge and present the reasons as to why it would be more beneficial to you to be considered a legal adult and not under the care of your parents. The laws may vary from region to region, as will the personal decision of the judge.
Unless, however, you meant that you would be moving into the care of another guardian, such as a friend's parents or other relative. In that case, it would still be a legal decision, but you would not have to seek legal emancipation but merely a change in who is considered your legal guardian. You would still have to show sufficient benefit to your well-being in such a move, however, or show that it is a mutual decision reached at by all parties (yourself, your parents, and the other potential guardian).
If your in the US I don't know but in Canada you can go where ever you want when your 14 years old
no
You can move out without the parents consent, but the parent may take you to court and get you back.
If you are eighteen years old you are considered, in the State of California, an adult. The sixteen year old is considered a minor. The only way this can be done is with the consent of the sixteen year old's parent(s) or legal guardian(s). To marry without the minor's parental/guardian's consent would be considered illegal.
If you're pregnant and marry the person you're moving in with, yes. If you can get your parents' consent, you don't have to be pregnant. If that's not even remotely what you intended, you should contact a local attorney or legal services office.
Sorry to rain on your parade, but there are no states in the union that allow a 16 year old to get married without parental permission. Matter of fact, not even Canada and Mexico allow this. It would be better to wait out the two years and get married when you're a legal adult. If you cannot wait two years, then you are not really mature enough to marry in the first place.
A mule is the offspring of a male donkey and a female horse.
No. There are only a few things that a child can do without parents' consent, and moving in with a boyfriend is not one of them.
No, the parents would have to give consent or the minor female would need to obtain the consent of the court before a marriage license would be issued.
No. And the boyfriend's parents could very well find themselves facing criminal charges for taking her in.
No she cannot. One must be at least 18 to get married without parental consent. It may be possible to get a court order.
Probably not much would happen. However, they could be returned to their parents home.
Yes, in Ontario at least. 16 with parental consent, 18 without. yes
if u do that u can get in trouble cause ur not 18
There is no state that will allow someone under the age of 18 to marry without parental consent/court approval/special circumstances.
No, you can not legally get married at age 17 unless both of your parents and both of your partner's parents have given permission.
In Florida, a minor cannot move out of their parents' home without their consent until they reach the age of majority, which is 18. Emancipation would be required for the 15-year-old to legally live on their own before turning 18. Crossing state lines to live with an 18-year-old friend in New Mexico could present legal complications and may not be allowed without parental consent or the appropriate legal process.
i belive so!
No.
