Yes, I have had one in my 2001 for 6 yrs now that I nstalled myself and it has worked like a champ. However, you have to buy the passlock bypass to make the car think the coded key is in it.

First...ensure you have the remote start option. Second.. you have to lock the car with the remote and then hold down the start button Third... Make sure the battery is good in the remote fob. Forth.....dealer time Press the lock button and wait for the turn signals to cooperate. Press and hold down the remote start button until the turn signals light up and the Buick should start up. If that doesn't work go to your local dealer and get a new key fob.
Check for power and ground to the sending unit. If they are good then you have a bad sending unit.
