Yes, of course it can. What makes you think that wouldn't be the case?

do you know if kaiser permanente filed bankruptcy?
Yes
Your bankruptcy remains in the court's index forever. Lenders have access to special non-public databases which they use when a person applies for a loan. Your name will come up in the bankruptcy index. If the lender finds you lied on the application your application will be denied. It would be better to be truthful when you answer that question.
IF the question is asked to you.. Have you EVER filed.. then yes, you do have to answer, if it only askes you if in the last 10 years have you ever filed you could say no.

If you are referring to Hillary and Bill Clinton, neither of them have, singly or as husband and wife, ever filed for bankruptcy.
Yes- attorney needs to know if you ever filed BK (what type and when).
WorldCom filed for bankruptcy in 2002. At the time, it was the largest bankruptcy ever, with $107 billion in assets. This almost twice as much as that of Enron Corp.
Set them straight, what ever position you or they are in.
If you have just filed bankruptcy, you will not be barred from ever obtaining a mortgage loan; however, you will not be able to get one immediately. When you can get a mortgage after bankruptcy will depend upon the type of loan you want, the type of bankruptcy you filed, and how good your credit is at the time you want the loan.
It is better to be honest than to get caught in a lie. If they pull your credit report, they will be able to see that you have if it has not been at least 10 years from the bankruptcy.
