Can a supercharger work on a 97 ford probe
They are extremely rare! If you find one, hang on to it! Just kidding! All Thunderbirds with the supercharger as well as Cougars with supercharger have DIS...Distributor-less Ignition System. The computer fires the plugs without a distributor cap or rotor.
No
Add an aftermarket supercharger.
money
Supercharger oil for a 1993 Ford Thunderbird can be found at auto parts stores that sell racing performance parts. Usually, a 50 wt. oil will work for this type of engine.
On a 2007 Ford Mustang only the ( GT 500 version has a supercharger ) It has a supercharged , DOHC , 5.4 liter engine that is rated at 500 horsepower from the factory
It takes 2 bottles of the GM supercharger oil (or Ford supercharger oil, they are the same product). Do not try to substitute anything else for it either. It is a specialized oil built for the iron bearings that are used in these superchargers.
A turbocharger would be more practical and easier to install.
Thomas Knight makes an Eaton supercharger kit for second generation Ford Probes and Mazda MX-6s. Check out boosthead.com.
Yes, but with today technology, it would be a waste of money(not needed/expensive.)
Ford GT has a mid-engine 5.4L v8 DOHC with a twin-screw supercharger. pretty sweet. Basically an GT500 motor on steroids.
