Can an at will company fire you after you complain about your boss to your school president?

Companies depend on the "at will" status to be able to let employees go. If you have not made your 90 day probation period, it is even easier. Someone did not like your complaint and they had more power and/or more value to the company than you. The perception that your complaint created was that you were not likely to be a good employee in the future.
It is a lesson learned to know that you have to watch what you say about work anywhere you go.
