That depends. "Ex-felon" seems to be a very commonly misused term on this website. Are there felony convictions on your record which have not been overturned? If the answer to this question is yes, you are NOT an 'ex-'felon - you are still a felon. Just because you're not longer state property, it doesn't change your status as a felon.
Under federal law, a FELON may not purchase, be in possession of, or have access to a firearm. Which means you can't be around them, period, regardless of whether or not it's in your possession.
Because of the 1968 Gun Control Act, which made it illegal.
Typical sentence with Fedral prosecution undr Operation Exile was 5 yrs, no probation, no parole. However, depending on prior record, could vary.
No. The law against being a felon in possession of a firearm is a federal law.
Depends on how much you need it. Not like New York tho. Get a fiend to check the gun possession laws there. If you have a friend that you need to keep the gun around for - get rid of the friend.
If the possession charge was a felony, no, it is not legal to own or possess a gun.
If you mean possession of drugs, probably not.
In Baltimore, Maryland when you have a gun in your possession you can get in trouble, unless it is registered to you. If you have a gun in your possession and it is not yours, you can be charged, fined, and even given jail time. Depending on if you have a background or not, how lenient they would be with you.
he had gun possession
No. Not in Arizona, nor anywhere else.
No one. As long as there are people and guns, there will be gun violence. Always. All that can be done is that action can be taken to mitigate the effects of people having guns. There are ideas around (that have been around a looooong time) that include restrictions on gun ownership, harsh penalties for possession, even more harsh for possession during a crime (enhancements), and a swift and sure execution for those who commit murder with a gun. Nothing new here.
Illegal possession of a gun.
