If the debt was truly unsecured and you properly listed the debt in the bankruptcy, then the debt has been discharge. If the creditor persists in violating the discharge order, the creditor could be held on contempt of court and held liable for fines and attorney's fees.
The question is NOT whether taxes are dischargeable in a bankruptcy. The question that has been asked is whether the IRS can still pursue you for taxes that were discharged in a bankruptcy (which would obviously confirm that some taxes are dischargeable in specific circumstances). If your taxes were discharged in a bankruptcy, the IRS cannot come after you for those taxes after the bankruptcy has been discharged. If they are doing so, they probably did not enter them as discharged correctly on their computer system. To correct this, you should call IRS collections and explain to them that the taxes should have been discharged in your bankruptcy. Ask them to send a referral to the IRS Insolvency Unit, and the Insolvency Unit will be able to pull the bankruptcy records and confirm what should have been discharged.Note that any liens that were filed before the bankruptcy will survive the discharge process. So, although the IRS debt has been discharged a lien may continue to exist. This lien only attaches to equity that was exempted in the bankruptcy process (so if you had $20,000 of equity in your home that you exempted under bankruptcy homestead exemption, the lien continues to attach to that equity). It does NOT attach to any equity that builds in your assets after the filing of your bankruptcy petition.

It doesn't matter when the bankruptcy was filed or whether they made or claim or not. What matters is if the creditor had a secured debt or a lien against your property at the time of filing. The reason is that liens survive bankruptcy; it is your personal liability that gets discharged. For example, if you have a car with a lien against it and file bankruptcy, you don't have to pay the debt. That obligation was discharged in your case. However, if they have a lien against the vehicle, the lien survived your case and remains in effect. At any point after your case is discharged, they can recover the property to which their lien attaches. It is called replevin. They cannot collect any money from you, but can collect the property. If you life in a self-help state, they can repossess the vehicle in public. If it is a personal property item like furniture or a computer, they have to sue you in state court for the return (or replevin) of the item. They cannot come onto your property without a court order requiring turnover of the item.
The first two digits of the docket number, before the hyphen, tells you the year. If you don't have the docket number, you can go to a bankruptcy court or bankruptcy lawyer's office and look it up on the computer.
You and your lawyer should have received a notice and copy of the discharge order. If you changed your address without notifying the court of the change, and left no forwarding address, you will not receive it. You can call the clerk's office or go to the clerk's office and ask. Your lawyer (or any bankruptcy lawyer in the area) can access the court's computer records to download a copy of the discharge order.
Downloading the program itself won't, but if you go around downloading sketchy files from unsecured sources then yes, you can contract a virus from that.
When you recharge the battery and start the automobile the computer will set itself back to (ROM) read only memores. SOMETIMES you do need to drive a few miles for the computer can relearn itself.

The content of Web traffic is at best saved in your history and/or cookies. If someone were using your unsecured wireless access point (which is an extremely bad idea by the way) and someone was tracking traffic to and from your machine, they might be able to intercept packets and figure out where yo were and/or what you were doing on the web. in other words.....your son is lying.
