yep they can do it any time after they were stoped normally you get it right their it is kind of strange that it was a ticket it may be a sumons to apper in court.
Generally speaking Officers submit the tickets to court within 30 days but they have as long as 12 months from the date of the ticket.
they put points on your license, then your rates go up about 100 dollars every 6 months.
By maximum do you mean how many traffic tickets you can get before your license is suspended? There are multiple variables.... California DMV developed a "POINT System" to keep track of every driver's personal traffic convictions and collisions. These infractions are placed on your record in the form of POINTS(and will remain there for 36 months) One violation per 18-month period may be removed from driving record by attending traffic school. DMV will consider you a NEGLIGENT DRIVER and you may lose your driving privileges if: • You receive 4 points in 12 months. • You receive 6 points in 24 months. • You receive 8 points in 36 months. PARKING TICKETS: 5 unpaid tickets and your car can be booted or towed until all tickets are paid. When the meter maid enters your license# to issue you a ticket, a red flag informs them it's your 5th ticket. They will then ticket you, and contact a tow yard to come tow your car. So while your at lunch and think you only have 4 tickets, they could be ticketing you with your fifth right now, and quite possibly tow you.
Unless you have gone through traffic school to clear the points issued, those tickets will remain as part of your active history for about 39 months. During those 39 months, your insurance rates will most likely be higher, than if you had no tickets. You are now an "at risk" driver with those traffic violations. If one has to speed to get somewhere, then it just isn't worth going to ... Slow down ... the life you save might be your own.
Only if there was a fatality. That is not correct. In the State of Texas, County of Dallas and soon to add the County of Denton. Those two district courts will put your traffic tickets on your criminal record as Class "C" Misdemeanors. They started this a few months ago, and costing people jobs and apartments.
In California if you have not attended traffic school in the last 18 months, then you may choose to attend a California traffic school online. For additional free information on red light camera tickets in California go to http://www.2FixYourTrafficTicket.com/
If you satisfy all requirements as stated on the ticket then yes. However, you are only allowed one traffic school for every 18 months per the handbook. Therefore, additional tickets received after the initial ticket was dismissed via traffic school will stay on record for 3 years or more.
It depends on where he is licensed, what the limits are on his license, and what the tickets are for.
it depends where you got your ticket... for example in California, you can take traffic school every 18 months; in Florida 5 times in a lifetime; in New York you can take a Defensive Driving Class every 18 months to reduce points on your record and every 3 years to get 10% insurance reduction (regardless if you have tickets or not).... for more info vist Improv Traffic School at www.MyImprov.com
Depending on the court........there is a certain amount of time (usually 18 months) between tickets that you can go to traffic school. So if its been that long...then yes you can go. Age doesnt matter!
It depends on what imperfections you have on your record. DUI cost more than traffic tickets, so an overall estimate is about $300.00 on up for the first 6 months.
