If an illegal alien does legally marry a U.S. citizen, that does not automatically fix his Immigration status. There is an application that must be filed on his behalf and a procedure which takes several years.
I am not clear on what you mean by "underage bride." The woman is either old enough to get married or she is not. Each state has its own minimum age for legal marriage. In some states, a woman who is under a certain age requires parental consent to get married.
In short, the marriage is either legal or it is not. If the marriage is legal, then the age of the bride is irrelevant. If the marriage is not legal, then a petition for citizenship based upon that marriage will not be granted.
