Can anaconda eat crocodiles

No. However, it can eat or swallow a young calf whole, like it can with deer or deer-like creatures that live in the Amazon. But a full-grown, 1400 lb cow? Not a chance. The cow is simply much too bulky and big width-wise for a snake that size to be able to get its jaws around it, let alone the animal's head.

Since their habitat does overlap that of several species of Central and South American Crocodiles - such as the Orinoco Crocodile, American Crocodile, and Morelet's Crocodile - you would expect them to be occasional prey for the anaconda. It would have to be a caiman - which is related to the alligator. Anacondas are indigenous to South America; alligators are indigenous only to North America - Southeastern USA to be exact (A. mississippiensis) and China (A. sinensis). Caimans are indigenous to Central and South America, so their habitat overlaps that of the anaconda.

They can eat anything they can overpower & kill including fish, birds, mammals like Tapir, Capybara, Reptiles like Caiman etc. They constrict (squeeze) their prey to kill and then swallow them whole. They usually prefer prey that they can swallow. Large prey like a Buffalo or an Adult Human are impossible to swallow for the Anaconda. So, they don't usually eat them. Technically yes, but an Anaconda does not live in the same habitat as a Buffalo. Anacondas eat the largest rodent in the world. It is called a Capybara. They also eat many other animals. Anacondas are very large and very dangerous. It takes ten people to carry one Anaconda! They are very heavy and are my favorite animal !
